Today we are starting a bit of a journey together. I don’t know if you have ever seen the “London Eye”. It’s a Ferris wheel that is almost 450 feet tall with 32 air conditioned enclosed capsules that holds 25 people who can sit or walk around as you go on your 30minute journey. The operators like to call it an “observation wheel” rather than a “Ferris Wheel” since it was not meant to be part of a carnival but part of the cities structure. N.T. Wright uses this wheel to describe the Letter to the Ephesians in the Bible. It’s not the longest letter but it’s *purpose is to give those it was intended, and us, as our series is called, A Spectacular View. And like any journey of this sort Paul, the author the letter, is going to point out some key sights. In this first chapter of the letter he wants us to Take in the Big Picture.
