This being the first Sunday in the New Year I can’t help but want us to consider our being in community together; what that means for we as a church body and we as individual members in it. The very fact that we’ve had our first “pseudo-snow” this past Tuesday speaks in real terms of a change in seasons, particularly for we in the Northeast, we know seasonally there is 1a.a time for everything. That’s true of literal calendar seasons, that’s true of an individual’s life, and even organizations or communities like our own. I am one who has always believed that it is right to take advantage and commemorate and celebrate certain calendar year holidays *and events. New Year’s lends itself to putting aside a time to reflect and look forward.
