We've been looking at our Vineyard Distinctives in this series we are in. Much of what we're talking about is obvious to many of you and the very things which drew you to connect with us in a more committed way. For those of you just coming into the church our just now getting involved hopefully it will shed some light on who we are a bit more.
Over the next few weeks we'll be looking at our Vineyard distinctives. Much of what we'll talk about for some of you will be obvious and you'll recognize the things annotated as the very things which drew you to connect with us in a more committed wat. By saying these are Vinyard disitinctly part of our Vinyard roots, the things we have in common, and desire to live out. These are the heart behind our values; how we flesh out those things. Last week we looked at the first of our distinctives, as we are presenting them here, and that was "Intimacy"; having an intimate relationship with Jesus. Today we'll look at the second distinctive and that is the desire that is formed from an intimate relationship with God, which is to be open to His leading; therefore an openness to God's Spirit at work around us.
In the Spring we did a series here called "What I did on my Summer Vacation". So today we are revisting what we presented, not to go over old material but to grade ourselves to some extent on how we did. This is really to get to the point of what I believe God is trying to get across to us, and that is He wants us to live life on purpose.
