We are in the midst of a summer series, one that will take us into the depths of what all of us need so desperately and that is wisdom. Each summer we go through an entire book in the bible or a series of books related to one another, and this summer we will go through the book of Proverbs most of it was writen by King Solomon, who was full of wisdom for others but not for himself. this highlights our dependance on God for our wisdom is never as great as His.
This morning we are taking a one Sunday break from Proverbs so that we can mix together something I feel impressed to share with you from the scripture, along with and in conjunction with our sharing in a little more detail our trip to the Dominican Republic just last week. I feel this is necessary because so many of you were so very generous in the sharing of your time to pray for us, to encourage us, and with money to utilize for those in need with whom we have relations there. I have some pictures to help guide me along most of which can be found on our Facebook page, but also on the team members’ pages which have so many more.
This week we continue our series of the book of Proverbs. We cover anger and how it happens.
Wisdon is choosing the right person/job/project all the time. Its understanding people and situations and human nature. Our lives are a series of branching forks in the road. Which do we take. Big and small decision. God's wisdom helps us to come choose which path to take
We are in the midst of a summer series, one that will take us into the depths of what all of us need so desperately and that is wisdom. Each summer we go through an entire book in the bible or a series of books related to one another, and this summer we will be in the book of Proverbs, which is about .practical wisdom for living. Most of it was written by the third King of Israel, Solomon, son of David, who was considered the wisest man in the world. I pointed out last week he seemed to have wisdom for everyone else but not too much for himself. This highlights our dependence on God for wisdom no matter who we are or what position we find ourselves. Last week we discovered how precious wisdom truly is and this week we see that in the midst of our making plans of many types we need to .submit them to the Lord, because in the long run it’s His plans that prevail.
